In northern India, widows who have been abandoned by everyone because they bring bad luck come to a women's town to end their lives. While waiting for their next reincarnation, they walk in circles on a pilgrimage path and sing praises to Krishna for hours on end. They forget their names and their own histories in the hope that this renunciation will lead to liberation.
