In 1990, 564 notebooks were found on the premises of the Central Committee of Bucharest that had just been abandoned by the ex- dictator Nicolae Ceausescu and his wife Elena. These notebooks are both a diary and a meditation of the first lady of Romania on scientific socialism : little psychology but rather a heap of certainties touching the most varied subjects. Like Stendhal, Elena focuses on "the little true facts" which, juxtaposed, end up composing a real fresco whose inspiration remains very personal. The few Romanian communists still alive who have approached the condator and his wife describe Elena as illiterate, brutal and filthy.
Welcome to the hilarious and pathetic realm of Elena Ceausescu, junk scientist but true gorgon.
Elena Ceausescu secret files is a theatrical pastiche, funny and cruel, a monologue mixing digital creation, contemporary dance and performance.
